If you see the error message “The Demo Data Source cannot be updated. Please create a new data source with your data.", go through the following steps to resolve the issue.

The most common reason for this error is due to the spreadsheet’s ownership. Under the ‘Created By’ column in SaaSGrid, should be the name of either yourself or another member/admin of your Organization.

If your spreadsheet is created by SaaSGrid, you wrote your data on top of our Demo Template.

You will need to create another Data Source so that you or another member has ownership of the spreadsheet.

If your spreadsheet was created by a member/admin who deleted their SaaSGrid account, you will also need to create a new Data Source.

For Google Sheets, you can easily copy over your data by right-clicking on your worksheet, selecting ‘Copy to,’ then ‘Existing spreadsheet.
