SaaSGrid’s Custom Metrics feature gives you the flexibility to define your own metrics using our formula builder—so you can report on what matters most to your business.
Custom Metrics let you build new metrics using:
Existing SaaSGrid metrics (e.g., ARR, CAC, Logo Retention)
Segments based on Customer, Deal, Subscription, Invoice, or Product attributes
Metrics settings (trailing period, revenue type, etc.)
To create a custom metric, create a new chart or report, and select Create a custom metric at the bottom of the menu. This will open the Formula Builder, where users can specify the formulas for custom metrics.
To enter the formula for the metric, begin typing and add in a metric from the dropdown, or specify a number or operator to be used.
Click on any metric in the formula bar to specify any segments or settings for that metric. In the example below, note that all ARR settings are modifiable.
Similarly, segments can also be applied to the custom metric. Select the segment data source and specify which segment should be applied to each metric.
After customizing settings and segments, specify the metric name and unit, and add a description if helpful. Click on Create to add the metric to your library. The metric will then be available in the Custom tab of the metrics list.
Create a chart with the metric by clicking on the metric.
Like other metrics, users can specify a growth rate for the metric or edit settings.
